solid build, good controls

for the price this is hard to beat especially since the same basic unit can be NIST cert'ed. it's a little noisey and it's heavy as well, could use some type of carrying top strap. constant current if needed through a startup procedure. I am very happy

Triplett PS305 - 30V/5A DC Power Supply

This is good, adequate, for basic needs of a variable DC source. The separate digital displays of voltage and current are very helpful in determining particulars of a load, without having to use a multimeter. The low cost is very desirable and affordable. We use it for evaluation of simple circuits, fans, LEDs, and powering various RC model components and other toys on the bench. It has an internal cooling fan, that makes a low amount of noise, but indicates that it is working, so that is a good thing. Compact size. We have two units, side by side, on the bench. I like them, and might even buy a third unit.
