The MX-500 AND MX-5200 Series offers users a choice of hand-pieces to meet the customer’s application needs. Each hand-piece has its own range of cartridges with many choices available for tip geometry and temperature. The hand-pieces below are compatible with existing MX-500 and MX-5200 Systems as well as backward compatible with previous MX-500 and MX-5000 Systems.

The MX-DS1 desoldering iron uses STDC nozzles, which can be viewed through the links below: • 600 Series for temperature sensitive applications • 700 Series for most standard applications • 800 Series for ceramic and high thermal demand applications Q: How are the numbered tip series different from each other? A: Each numbered series has a different maximum temperature. The maximum temperatures are as follows: ? 600 Series = 675° F ? 700 Series = 775° F ? 800 Series = 905° F + Q: Does the MX-DS1 come with nozzles? A: Nozzles are sold separately, due to the wide variety of sizes and temperature ranges.
