I bought this 3021X to replace an aging HP8569B. Yes the 8569B covered up to 22 GHz, but it was heavy and rather difficult to use. I opted for a low frequency SA and am impressed at the ease of use. Measuring signal levels is so darn easy. Frequency accuracy is very good and, for the money, I consider it money well spent. I can take this SA anywhere and as long as I can plug it in I can use it. It is very portable. I purchased the VSWR bridge accessory as well, so return loss measurements are also easy to make. Phase noise looks pretty good. Now I need to get to work and use it! First task is tuneup of a new 222 MHz transmitting and receiving converter.
