Siglent SDS2104X HD - Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (4 Channels / 100 MHz)

Exelent Value and Capabilities

5.0

This oscilloscope delivers a lot of performance at the ~2K price point: The UI is clean and responsive with good pixel density. The FFT updates very quickly at low-to-medium memory depths, and is still quite acceptable at the full depth. The scope has most of the analysis features found in the SDS4000X HD scopes with the latest software update. The most important feature I use on a regular basis is the math equation editor. It is one of the best math trace functions I have used - up there with very high-end scopes. The equation editor is particularly useful when using custom probes, which I do often. As with most Siglent scopes, you can use an external Siglent AWG (or the internal function generator) to automate Bode plotting, which saves a quite a bit of time. So far, I have only found a few minor software bugs, mostly in the FFT function, but non of them (so far) have been anything but a minor inconvenience. The main issue I have with the scope is the lack of a external frequency input, as I would like to use my lab reference with it. All-in-all, I would recommend this scope to anyone who wants the features of advanced scopes at a reasonable price. PS: If the analysis bundle is available, I highly recommend getting it as well.
