Siglent BAG-S2 - Soft Carry Case

Okay, but expected better

3.0

An okay bag, but for $140 I expected something better. I purchased this bag along with an SVA1032X. When purchasing a multi-thousand dollar piece of equipment, I typically will also purchase a bag from the manufacture. This bag though does not appear to be specifically made for the SVA1032X. Instead it appears to be made for a broad range of Siglent products. For example, although the SVA1032X easily fits it the bag, the main compartment of the bag is 6 inches taller than needed to hold the SVA1032X. Worse yet, because it is so short, there is not enough velcro on the inside straps to hold the SVA1032X in place. Ideally the velcro would be about 2 inches longer, so that with the SVA1032X the inside straps could be held together. Another minor issue is that there is no slot to hold a business card. When travelling through airports, its very convenient to have your name and business name visible. Test Equipment bags I have from other manufacturers provide a slot the size of a business card, with a clear plastic cover, but this bag does not. Top cover of bag has a compartment that conveniently holds the powercord and two RF cables. There are also two side compartments and one large front compartment. The front compartment is good for holding the manual, but not much else, while one of the side compartments is good for holding a calibration kit. Unfortunately, neither of the side compartments or front compartment are larger enough to hold a set of near-field probes. Ideally this bag would hold the SVA1032X, power cord, two RF cables, calibration set, and near-field probe set, so you can grab one bag and have everything you need. This bag would be far better if the front compartment was sized to hold the Siglent near-field probe set.
