In my opinion, The only competing thermal camera with this one would be flir ones that cost 10,000$ This is the fast frame model, I get a very pleasantly smooth video image and a high resolution. This thermal camera has a shutter that clacks every 3 seconds and freezes the image for about half a second. I dont like this feature but for the refresh rate and resolution of this unit. I dont care. Nothing beats it. I also made a modification to this unit, in that I added a TEC cooler to the back of the sensor area, and a extension wire to the lightning port. I use this item on my desk when diagnosing electronics. the TEC cooler assembly helps cool the senor so it has less noise and you get a sharper image. If you have the time, do this modification. Excillent camera for the specs. I dont know about the company seek, I like the name FLIR better, but seek gives me more frame rates and resolution.
