I was disappointed with the power of the Hakko 206 hot air and wanted something low cost to help remove components off boards that were of any appreciable size or which had ground pads. Not wanting to spend much more, I wound up buying the Quick 957DW . What a surprise! Though the temp regulation isn't all that great, this thing actually works really well. And the accessories are low cost to boot! I'll still be using my Hakko 206 for flowing solder paste or removing small components as the control of its pencil is excellent, but the 957DW will be my goto hot air for everything else.
