Before I decided to purchase this product, I also considered the Hakko FR-810B and the Weller WTHA1N. I read reviews online and watched YouTube videos to get some in-depth info on each of them including this product. The Quick 861DW stands out for its intuitive controls (i.e., easy to operate out of the box). I like the fact that it has a standby mode when the hand piece is in its holder. It only has three manual programmable presets unlike the other two but this is good enough for me and what I need it for. Overall, from a semi-pro electronic technician's point of view, this is a very good value product that won't break the bank.
