Pace MBT 350 Multi-Channel Rework System - with TD-100A Iron, MT-100 Tweezer and SX-100 Desoldering Iron

Works as describes with some ajustments

4.0

Have used Weller soldering stations for years and there was an adjustment using pace. The advantage is having one base station with all three apparatuses, saving bench space. But if the base station goes down you lose everything. This soldering and de-soldering station was specified by the supervisor because he prefers Pace. Once I figured out how to use the de-soldering apparatus it works fine, but we will need different head for some of our applications. I am not sure whether it is Pace or the quarantine but the additional tips were out of stock or took a while before they shipped. For what we paid for the station they could have included a couple of "basic" tips, but you must order the tips for the iron, the squeeze IC iron and de-soldering handles. The de-soldering handle comes with one tip. I like the replaceable Flux Trap for de-soldering. But had to go to another vendor to purchase the Flux Trap holder or caddie. When the holder (which holds five Flux Traps) arrived the instructions said to attache to the base of the de-soldering handle, bu Pace had standardized the base with the other two and forgot to put the mounting holes for the holder in the base. Ended up mounting Flux Trap holder to the base station.
