This meter is a must for the solar kiln operator. I I was using pinless or pinned meters but was surprised to find that once I started planing the wood it was not dry enough. With probes allowing for true core samples no surprises. Easy to test without opening kiln with cables running to backside of kiln. With 3 probes allows for samples from top bottom and middle. I would recommend this meter to anyone who works wood.
