Teledyne LeCroy WaveSurfer 4104HD 1 GHz, 12-bit High Definition Oscilloscope

Long time LeCroy 'scope user, going 12 bit.

5.0

When LeCroy first showed a demo of a 12 bit 'scope at an embedded systems conference years ago, I wanted one for our small shop development work. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the budget at the time. I've used a LeCroy 8-bit 'scopes forever, in particular a LeCroy LC594/DDA125. I'm familiar with the feel of the interface and the math functions. But that old 'scope is really feeling its age, for example the annoying floppy disk interface and the lack of signal decoding. When the price of this Wavesurfer 4104HD came down, I jumped at the opportunity.

It took a while to receive it. After ordering it on August 21st, I finally received it three months later, and now in late December, I'm still awaiting word on when the MSO that is part of the package deal will finally arrive. The communication has not been great on the delivery issues.

But I couldn't be happier with the 'scope itself. It familiar but with the modern enhancements I need. And the stable, sharp traces as advertised.

TEquipment Response: Thanks for the feedback! The delivery times are not usual. These times have seen much longer lead times on this scope. We have many on ordering coming so we should ship from stock soon. Thanks for the business.
