I needed a power supply with 4 channels, the ability to output 28V/5A with good resolution. I get the ability to have a load function for free. You get everything you need in the box, and the channel arrangement has not bothered me at all. I will absolutely be purchasing more instek products based on the value I have gotten from this one.

I really like that Instek gives you good resolution, down to the mV and mA and does not charge you extra for it. The trend plotting is also very nice.

4 useable channels, direct input, and high precision

I don't think I'll ever outgrow this PSU. It's extremely easy to use and performs as advertised. Just be aware that the channel strip is recessed slightly, so if you have this sitting on your work surface, you won't be able to read the channel numbers for the outputs. Throw a 2x4 under the front feet, and you'll be fine. Or put color-coded tape on the ends of the leads.
