I used this in a house once. The house was an older house with aluminum wiring. It had a 60 amp service and was way too small for the house and what the owner had in it. I had to upgrade to a 200 amp service. I used these Ideal copper to aluminum wire connectors and the inspector said that I couldn't mix copper to aluminum. I told him that they were listed for that. I got the owner of the house to get me a printout of these wire connectors. He said that if he didn't get back with me that he would give me the green tag. He passed the inspection. A few years later I saw the guy that owned the house and that everything was still good. From what I remember, you can only use it once then when you remove it, you have to buy a new one to replace it. You just have to make sure your particular with stripping the insulation, and making sure the wires are all encapsulated inside of the wire connector where no air can get to it. As far as I'm concerned, it's a great product as long as it's installed according to the manufactures instructions.
