Hakko FX888D-23BY - Digital Soldering Station

Hakko FX888D works great, but terrible controls.

This iron can definitely put out and maintain some heat, build quality feels excellent, but unless you solder at a fixed temperature, changing the temperature will be quite frustrating. Only after calling Hakko support have I got it working properly, they are very helpful and quite familiar with this product and how to correct the settings (I wonder why). Despite how well the iron works, having to memorize or look up how to use a SOLDERING IRON is insane. I would have never guessed it possible to over engineer a soldering iron.
