Great tool at a reasonable price

I am retired electronics design engineer and my hobbies include ham radio which involved, in some cases, building and repairing new fangled electronics (i.e. SMD and thru hole digital and analog pc bds). It became quite apparent that my old tools (e.g. soldering iron, solder sucker) were just not up to the task. So I indulged in the purchase of the Hakko FR-301 desoldering tool. Expensive for a hobbyist? Yes but worth every cent.
