This meter is the newest innovation from folks that I have bought from from the day they came out. It works precisely as advertised.
I've worked HVAC/Elec for over 30 years. I started buying Fieldpiece when they first hit the supply houses. Every single one of these tools STILL WORKS! If you have an issue, they make it right. It doesn't matter how old. If it's out of warranty, it's a flat $35 fee to repair or replace it. No matter what the tool originally cost. Find any other manufacturer that does that!
I have actually sent them a box of meter parts...screws, covers, boards, etc...and had them replace with a nice meter....and the parts I sent in had been in my tool-bag for over two decades, as a good amp meter, doing the job I bought it for. (The reason I disassembled it was do to a leaking 9 volt battery.)
In addition, they read RIGHT. Accurate, and bullet-proof reliable. They are designed so that if your battery is dying, the meter will read volts higher, not lower, for safety. You won't find that elsewhere either.
I now have a full set of the wireless linked meters, gauges, etc. I recommend that too, if you can afford them. If I get stuck, I can easily send a very detailed set of readings to the engineer for advice. I can also use that feature to document the proper operation of the system, and even send it to the customer, etc.
I just won't buy anything but Fieldpiece.
