I bought this as a Christmas gift (2020) for my 11 year old son. I had looked for the old school 160 Electronic Projects Kit that I had when I was young, or something similar, but couldn't find anything that looked decent or wasn't sold out at the time, so I bought this instead. Though I didn't get exactly what I was looking for, this is probably better. It doesn't come with any wires, so it's easier to manage putting the circuits together and my 11 year old (and my 6 year old son) were able to immediately start building circuits. I had concerns that the snap connections would not work well and there would be times they wouldn't make a solid contact, but so far that hasn't been an issue. As far as durability, The only piece that has shown wear and tear is the small red propeller that had one of the blades separate from the outside ring. Thankfully, this is an individual part you can order by itself. The instruction book that comes with it is pretty basic, and it is paper bound, but it works fine and gives a basic understanding of the electrical components with pictures/diagrams for how to put together the circuits. Each part has the schematic diagram printed on it so hopefully, that will imprint on my boys' memories so it will be an easy transition to reading real schematic diagrams. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase, would make it again, and highly recommend it to others.
