A review remarked that the kit version output has a 4 V DC bias; so does the assembled version. It's there for all frequencies, amplitudes and waveforms. It can be removed with a cable with a 1 uF, 50 V poly capacitor. It will take about 60 sec for the capacitor to charge when the unit is switched on. Capacitor will also add some reactance which may be noticeable at lower frequencies. Can see harmonics and waveform distortion with Rigol or GW Instek oscilloscopes. There are inexpensive Chinese generators available through multiple venues that provide better performance and more features.
