Rigol DS2072a vs DS1074z Digital Oscilloscopes

Comparison of the Rigol DS2072A Vs the Rigol DS1074Z
The main differences between the two series of scopes are that the DS2000A is only available in 2-Channel versions, but they go up to 300MHz, where the DS1000Z only goes to 100MHz. The DS2000A has a 50Ohm impedance mode, so you do not need any external attenuators.

Performance-wise, besides the higher bandwidth on the DS2000A series, you also get 2Gs/S sample rates (as opposed to 1Gs/S). Standard memory depth on the DS2000A is 14MPts (expandable to 56MPts). The DS1000Z is 12MPts (expandable to 24MPts, which is still very good). Also, the DS2000A can scale down to 500uV/div. The DS1000Z can only go to 1mV/div.

Physically, the DS2000A has an 8" screen. The DS1000Z has a 7" screen. The DS2000A also offers USB Host, USB Device, LAN and Auxiallary outputs. The DS1000Z only has USB Host and USB Device.
