I am not sure how to differentiate between lots of different brass wool brands. My only comparison is some Hakko brass wool, but I do think the Pace Brass wool is possibly a little finer, slightly denser and therefore cleans the tips more gently. My Hakko wool is rather old, so it's hard to compare and I have no idea if there's a difference in price, but the Pace wool works well with my desoldering station, so that's what I'll go with.
