Ceramic Glass Plate for the FR-872 IR PCBoard Preheater
The Hakko 999-706 is a ceramic glass plate for the FR-872 IR PCBoard Preheater. This accessory is made of ceramic glass that can withstand extremely high temperatures without cracking or shattering. The glass sits over the heating area of the preheater and has rubber feet to prevent it from sliding around during use. The glass can be used in conjunction with the existing board holders and act as a shield for any solder or flux that could potentially drop onto the heater lamps. Operators can also mount the reworked piece directly on top of the glass for applications that are difficult to mount with the existing board holder.
Users may experience a slight decrease in heating efficiency when using the glass in conjunction with the existing board holder. However, even higher heating temperatures can be achieved when mounting the reworked piece directly on top of the glass.
