For the cost, these IR guns are a great value. They are reliable, accurate, and work in adverse conditions.
The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I see about 5% these units fail when calibrated. One of the issues is the plastic Fresnel lens in the unit. Once this lens gets "foggy", the units can fail to stay within their temperature specification.
Even with the failures, these units are a very good value for the money.

Works on Whirley-pop popcorn poppers, humans (ears, throat, mouth, pelvis) , cooking pots, furniture and appliances, ventilation equipment, computers, outside sidewalks, cars, engines, etc. Has degrees in Celsius and Fahrenheit, adjustments for emmisivity of the subject as not all materials interact with infrared the same way. Has a good (eye dangerous) laser pointer to guide your measurements.
Took three months to get and was well worth the wait.

This IR thermometer probably has the best price vs. functionality value. I have been using it every day and can't complain. Very accurate and robust. Definitely worth the money. Fluke quality is excellent. Wish it would have better battery life or if they would make room for 2xAA batteries instead of one.
