The FLIR E8xt is the direct replacement for the FLIR E8. The FLIR E8xt shares many of the same specifications as the FLIR E8 with a few significant exceptions.

The FLIR E8 has an object temperature range of -20 to 250 C (-4 to 482 F) while the FLIR E8xt features extended ranges of -20 to 250 C (-4 to 482 F) and 10 C to 550 C (50 to 1022 F).

The FLIR E8xt also features built-in Wi-Fi communication.

The FLIR E8xt has an isotherm feature which applies a contrasting color to all pixels with a temperature above or below the specified temperature level.
