ToughPIX II uses a sealed battery pack comprising three NiMH cells The relevant protection circuitry required of battery packs of this type This fuse is required by Certification Standards and will blow if the battery terminals are shorted together Shorting the battery terminals cannot happen in normal use as to the terminals are both recessed and seperated This is not a failure of the battery pack

ToughPIX II uses a sealed battery pack comprising three NiMH cells and the relevant protection circuitry required of battery packs of this type. Within the battery pack there is a fast blowing, non-replaceable fuse. This fuse is required by Certification Standards and will blow if the battery terminals are shorted together. Shorting the battery terminals cannot happen in normal use as to the terminals are both recessed and separated by insulating material. As with any battery pack, the ToughPIX II battery pack will lose the ability to retain a charge as they age either with time or with use. This is not a failure of the battery pack, this is a function of batteries as a whole.
