This tip delivers the heat very well, despite it's somewhat odd shape, while still being able to fit in some tight places for when you need a small tip. Haven't tried drag soldering with it yet but others say it works well for that.

The point is fine enough for larger SMD's and probably smaller devices in more skilled hands than mine. The bent tip is very useful. You simply rotate the handpiece a little to create a broad range of tip angles and directions to your work, rather than moving the entire handpiece or work.
