Link Instruments is based in Fairfield, NJ. Link began in 1986 with a mission to create affordable logic analyzers and digital storage oscilloscopes for high performance applications. In this time period, PCs began to improve and the idea of a digital storage oscilloscope that completely eliminated the need for a standalone scope unit was enticing. This technology has evolved to integrate with today’s significantly faster PCs via USB 2.0 ports. This also allows the digital scope unit to be easily transported with weight and space savings over a traditional unit. Perhaps best of all, a digital storage oscilloscope will save you money because it utilizes things you already own (your computer) and doesn’t include components that make traditional scopes much more expensive.
