- Byteblaster : It is possible to check the operation of a circuit by directly configuring the designed circuit from PC to the device.
- PS(Passive Serial) : It is possible to program the serial ROM by user firsthand and to configure to the device directly by using the programmed ROM.
- Selection of diverse input frequencies(16 series)
- It is possible to select 16 modes including 80MHz, 40MHz, 20MHz, 16MHz, 10MHz, 8MHz, 5MHz, 4MHz, 2.5MHz, 2MHz, 1.25MHz, 1MHz, 100kHz, 10kHz and 100Hz of oscillator and 25.174 MHz of external clock for use.
- Interfacing among other input/output devices and other circuits by using an expansion port

MAX+plus II University Version can use HBE-DTK-20K-240 Board without purchasing the formal software extra by supporting EPF10K20R240-4 installed in HBE-DTK -20K-240.
