Description
|
The 9301/9302 is an excellent 31 MHz function generator with built-in arbitrary waveform capabilities. The instruments support standard waveforms including sine, square, triangle, ramp and noise source. In addition, it has a frequency sweep function and five operating mode : Continuous, Triggered, Burst, Modulation, External Amplitude Modulation.
DDS also gives the 9301/9302 the ability to generate fast, high resolution arbitrary waveforms. Arbitrary waveforms up to 16k points long, with 12bits of vertical resolution, can be stored and output at sample rates of up to 40M samples/s. Powerful PC software to aid in designing and downloading arbitrary waveform is also available.

This output has an impedance of 50ohms.
If it is terminated into an impedance other than 50ohm the output amplitude will be incorrect and may exit increased distortion. The shield of this output may be floated up to ±40V relative to earth ground.
|
The step keys permits the operator to increase or decrease the selected parameter value. When the STEP SIZE key is processed the current step size is displayed along with an asterisk(*). The asterisk indicates that a keyboard entry will enter a new STEP SIZE value.
Every parameter key has an associated step size, pressing the STEP UP arrow key adds the step size to the current value. while pressing the STEP DOWN arrow key subtracts the step size from the current value. Pressing [STEP SIZE] key again returns the display to the previous parameter.
|
These keys choose the main waveform output.
The FUNCTION up/down arrow keys select the output waveform. If the output frequency is set beyond the allowable range of the waveform( > 2MHz for triangle and ramp) a message will be displayed and the frequency will be set to the maximum allowed for that function.
|
These keys control the 9302's modulation and sweep capabilities. The left hand up/down arrow keys select the type of modulation or sweep. The Right hand up/down arrow keys select the modulating or sweep waveform.
The [ SWEEP MOD] key selects modulation ON and OFF. When the modulation is turned on the SWEEP MOD LED will light. If the modulation parameters are not permitted for the selected output function, an error message will be displayed and modulation will not be turned on.
