| The PS4000, PS3000, and PS250 normally
rely on RS232 serial communications. Each of these products come
with an RS232 serial cable. This cable is terminated with a DB9
connector at the PC end and with an 8 pin mini-din connector at
the PowerSight end. The cable is 2 meters long (6 feet). If you
need a longer length, we provide the information you need to create
one of your own.
All PowerSight meters have built-in opto-isolated communications
for safe connection to the meter. Serial speeds over this cable
can run up to 115,200 bits/second. Communications can be to a
computer running our PowerSight Manager (PSM) software or to a
process control computer that senses the output of PowerSight.
