"FreeCapture V1.01" Installation Procedure

1. This program can be executed under WIN98, WIN2000 and XP now.
    You must have at least 10MB of available hard-disk space. This program has been tested on the PC with:
    a. CPU: Celeron 1.8GHz, DDR DRAM:256MB, Hard disk 40GB
    b. CPU: 800MHz PIII, DRAM: 128MB, Hard disk: 20G
    c. CPU: AMD K6 400MHz PIII, DRAM: 128MB, Hard disk: 20GB

2. Before install this program. If you had any old version of FreeCapture in your PC, please uninstall it first.
   During the installation procedure, if the system ask to remove or keep some drivers. Please keep the original drivers in your PC.
   
3. Please unzip FC101.zip to  C:\ or a temporary folder.
    a. We could find a folder "FC101" under C:\ or the temporary folder which the files been unzipped.
    b. Double click "FC101", we could find installation program "setup.exe".
    c. Double click setup.exe to start FreeCapture installation.

4. Please make sure the interface cable is connected between your PC and GDS-820/840.

5. Please power on your GDS-820/840, and change the interface to RS-232 or GPIB.

6. Execute FreeCapture. Click "I/O" and make the interface configuration the same with your GDS-820/840.
   If the connection is successful. You could see the identification name of GDS-820/840 which will be shown on the top of your  program window.
   
7. Please turn on your GDS-820/840's CH1 or CH2. Then, you can get waveform data from your GDS-820/840 by clicking the CH1 or CH2 button on FreeCapture.
