The DK-6000 is a great thing to have if your learning, or teaching the ins' and out's of your scope. It's expensive but so was the scope, you might as well educate yourself and get all your moneys worth.

Board functions but documentation is poor

This demo board is overpriced. I thought I was receiving the board and "lessons" that used the board. Instead, the documentation isn't just poor, its wrong. Rigol should update the documentation to be accurate with each model of their scope. Then, it would be super to updated the college professor's training information that can be found on the web.

Learning to use the DS1054Z

I needed to learn how to use my Rigol DS1054Z and decided the demo board and the free courseware that Rigol provides from Dr. Tom Briggs of Shippensburg State would be my best options. The board provides functional situations and Dr. Briggs tells how to set the scope to get the readings. I am happy with it.

Great academic tool

This item is a little expensive, but it has a very nice array of waveforms that aid me as a student of electronics. Though it has many very useful signals that I can use with my Rigol DS1074Z, a few of it's features are more suited for a mixed-signal o-scope. If you want a compact comprehensive package of signals this will work for you.
