Optical Specifications:
The formula for calculating the magnification of CCD camera and monitor:
F=M/C
• F:Magnification
• M:Size of monitor
• C:Camera size
Therefore, if the monitor is 14" and the camera is 1/3 chip then
• F=(14÷1/3)
• F=42
Total magnification of a system = X
X=FxAx0
• F=(above calculation)
• A=magnification of CCD adapter
• 0=magnification of objective
Therefore, if the monitor is 14", 1/3" CCD camera, .5X CCD adapter and .7X objective (.7-4.2 pod),
the total magnification will be:
X=(FxAx0) or 42 x .5 x .7 = 14.7 at low zoom
X=(FxAx0) or 42 x .5 x 4.2 = 88.2 at high zoom
