Megger Ground Resistance Test Equipment

Model Description or Specification
High Accuracy Configurable Diagnostic Earth Tester
The DET2/2 digital ground resistance tester provides a wide resistance range from 0.010 O to 19.99 kilohms for testing larger or more complex grounding systems and for difficult testing environments, with ±0.5% accuracy and 0.001 O resolution. Microprocessor control and advanced filtering simplify testing in environments with high levels of interference.
3 Terminal Ground Resistance Testers
The Three-Terminal Ground Resistance Tester is the economical choice for electrical contractors, plant electricians, telephone and CATV technicians making routine ground resistance tests on single electrodes and other simple grounding systems. The instrument is easy to use for quick measurement of resistances from 0.5 to 500 ohms.
DET10C-Basic Ground Resistance Clamp Tester
The Megger DET10C Earth Resistance Clamp meter is particularly suitable for measuring earth resistance in various installations such as buildings, pylons and RF transmitter sites.

In addition, they can be used for the inspection and verification of lightening protection systems.

DET20C-Down Loading Ground Resistance Clamp Tester
The Earth Resistance Clamp meters are particularly suitable for measuring earth resistance in various installations such as buildings, pylons and RF transmitter sites. In addition, they can be used for the inspection and verification of lightening protection systems.
DET3TA Analog Three Pole Earth Testing Kit
The new ground testing instrument family from Megger offers a unique solution to your ground rod testing needs. The complete kit of instrument, test leads, stakes and batteries are delivered in a tough polypropylene carry case - everything you need to start testing in one kit.

The ground tester is rated to IP54 making it truly an outdoor instrument. The ground tester has been designed to be easy to use - a large selector switch makes selection of 2 and 3 pole test easy with gloved hands - and the design makes the fitting of shorting links to perform 2 pole tests a thing of the past. A large, clear, easy to read analog display and thumb sized test button again makes the instrument particularly suited to the outdoor conditions of ground testing.

DET3TC Digital Three Pole Earth Testing Kit with ART
The ground rod tester is rated to IP54 meaking it truly an outdoor instrument. The ground tester has been designed to be easy to use - a large selectror switch makes selection of 2 pole or 3 pole test easy with gloved hands - and the design makes the fitting of shorting links to perform 2 pole tests a thing of the past. Using the optional clamp around the ground rod connection allows the testing of the rod without the need for disconnection, leaving the earthing system intact during testing (ART). A large, clear, easy to read LCD display and thumb sized test button again makes the instrument particularly suited to the outdoor conditions of ground testing.

In addition to this ease of use, the ground tester also automatically checks the connection of the P spike and C spike, indicating the status on the display. The instrument also includes a voltmeter to allow you to measure the ground voltage. The ground tester can measure resistance from 0.01 ohms through to 2000 ohms and earth voltages up to 100 V. To allow accurate testing in noisy environments the instrument is capable of rejecting noise of up to 40 V peak to peak.

DET3TD Digital Three Pole Earth Testing Kit
The Megger digital ground tester is powered by eight AA batteries which are widely available and also give excellent testing time - the status of these batteries is given by a bar graph on the LCD display allowing you to decide when to change the batteries, before they expire. The Megger ground testers are designed to meet stringent safety standards and are rated CAT IV 100 V.
DET4TD2 Digital Four Pole Soil Resistivity Testing Kit
DET4TR2 Rechargeable Digital Four Pole Soil Resistivity Testing Kit
The new ground testing instrument family from Megger offers a unique solution to your ground rod and soil resistivity testing needs. The complete kit of instrument, test leads, stakes, batteries and calibration certificate are delivered in a tough polypropylene carry case - everything you need to start testing in one kit.

The ground tester is rated to IP54 making it truly an outdoor instrument. The ground tester has been designed to be easy to use, a large selector switch makes selection of 2 pole, 3 pole or 4 pole test easy with gloved hands - and the design makes the fitting of shorting links to perform 2 pole tests a thing of the past. A large, clear, easy to read LCD display and thumb sized test button again makes the instrument particularly suited to the outdoor conditions of ground testing.

DET4TC2 Earth/Ground Resistance Tester (Battery)
DET4TCR2 Earth/Ground Resistance Tester (Rechargable)

These two new models (DET4TC2 and DET4TCR2) include a current measuring function for ART (Attached Rod Technique) testing capabilities. With this added function, on-site grounds can be tested separately without having to remove the utility connection (as explained further in this document). The new DET4TC2 and DET4TCR2 also provides a stakeless testing technique. It allows the operator to use the instrument like a clamp-on ground tester in applications where that method is viable, while also being able to operate as a fall of potential tester.

The complete kit of instrument, test leads, stakes, batteries and calibration certificate are delivered in a tough polypropylene carry case – everything you need to start testing in one package. Optional terminal adapters are available for acceptance of a variety of test leads.
DET5/4D Four Terminal Ground Tester (Battery)
DET5/4R Four Terminal Ground Tester (Rechargable)

The Megger® DET5/4D and DET5/4R are fully automatic, four terminal instruments built into a rugged, water resistant case giving protection for outdoor use. The instrument is suitable for the testing of earth electrodes and measuring earth resistivity.
Operation is started by pushing one of two buttons on the front panel; one for three terminal measurement and one for four terminal testing. All other functions of the instrument are completely automatic. The instrument checks for conditions that may cause an invalid reading during a test. The low service error and wide operating temperature range enable accurate results to be achieved in real on-site conditions.
