Description
|
The Magni SDM-550 is a unique product, different from other Magni monitoring products, with its SDI (SMPTE 259M and ITU-R 601) monitoring and processing capabilities. In monitoring applications, the SDM-550’s capabilities include automated reporting, picture display with on-screen key SDI signal parameters and Eye Pattern monitoring waveform output. As a processor, the SDM-550 is a two input SDI to re-clocked SDI output switcher, SDI to Component analog transcoder, and an embedded digital audio to analog and AES1/AES2 decoder. It is versatile, cost effective and perfectly suited for those video plants transitioning from analog to SD 601.
The Magni SDM-550 has both SDI and Component YUV inputs and is an excellent comparator for signals in both formats. An SDI encoder or decoder can easily be evaluated by comparing the input and output signals to the switchable inputs of the SDM-550. As an automated signal monitor, the SDM-550 generates reports in an ASCII text string that can be logged in a computer when one or more SDI signal parameters exceed the preset thresholds.
