  Description

MCP-292HD is a high performance DVI/VGA to HDTV Direct Digital Encoder, a scaleable scan converter, an HDTV logo, a character generator and a down stream key signal generator. Essentially it is five products in one.

HDTV Direct Digital Encoding (DDE) provides the highest quality video output, as it encodes the digital DVI computer output directly to serial digital HD-SDI. Furthermore, the scaleable scan conversion feature of the MCP-292HD provides the flexibility of converting a selected portion of the computer image (MagniPort) to HD-SDI and to analog HD.

The flexibility of using widely available word processors and graphics software with the computer enables the MCP-292HD to be used as a Character Generator or a Logo Generator for HDTV facilities.

The HD-SDI key signal output of the MCP-292HD makes it an ideal source to feed a Downstream Keyer. The key output and the converted (graphics, character or logo) HD output can be fed directly to the HD switcher to perform the downstream keying function.

The Magni MCP-292HD can be locked to standard NTSC, PAL, HDTV, HD Tri Level Sync or to the internal clock.
