Model 8001 Laser Power Meter has been developed for the repair and calibration of MD (mini-disc) recorders and computer WORM (write once read many times) drives that utilize higher-power laser diodes at the 780 nm wavelength. The meter enables quick verification of laser operation and adjustment of laser output for the proper power level ensures optimum extended laser diode life. The silicon photo diode sensor in the probe has a 200 mW maximum input. The power meter requires no AC power or batteries for operation. |
