TEST SIGNAL/PATTERN GENERATOR
The 413S provides both video and audio test signals for system checkout, tape lead-in and source ID. Video signals include a flat 100% field, EIA, SMPTE and SNG color bars. (The latter designed especially for satellite operations.) Balanced audio at 400 and 1000 Hz is supplied from an XLR connector at 0 dB. Of particular value is a programmable 8-character source ID.
Designed for EFP and ENG (Electronic Field Production and Electronic News Gathering) operations, this group of video instrumentation features compact size, light weight and 12 V dc operation. Thus, full monitoring operations can be carried into the field and powered from commonly-used batteries, battery belts or vehicle power. Flexibility in system assembly allows monitoring packages to meet individual needs. The EFP/ENG instrument group includes models 5864A, 5854 and 413S.
