Features:
  • EFM signal real time indication
  • MD GO/NO-GO judgment
  • Jitter value GO/NO-GO judgment
  • Jitter measurement switching
  • Compatibility with automated production lines

  Description

The DB-3260 measures the time jitter in the EFM signal from a MD player/recorder‚ CD/CD-ROM/CD-I player‚ etc. It isolates the 3T component in the EFM signal‚ measures the jitter in the component in real time and displays it on a meter. It incorporates the optimum MD focusing bias voltage adjustment GO/NO-GO judgment function‚ which makes the focusing bias voltage adjustment accurate and quick even with recordable MD discs with which it is difficult due to ADIP errors. Also equipped with a GO/NO-GO judgment function of jitter values with respect to the preset value‚ it is an optimum MD/CD jitter meter for use in production and assembly of the optics units of MD/CD players.

EFM signal real time indication
Displays the jitter values (sigma and peak values) of the 3T bit width of EFM signals on an analog meter.

MD GO/NO-GO judgment
The focusing bias voltage adjustment of MD recordable discs is very difficult due to ADIP errors, but the GO/NO-GO judgment of the optimum MD focusing bias voltage makes it possible to perform the adjustment accurately in a short period.

Jitter value GO/NO-GO judgment
The GO/NO-GO judgment with respect to the preset jitter value is also provided.

Jitter measurement switching
The bit width of the jitter value measurement can be switched to between the rise and fall of 3T or between the fall and rise.

Compatibility with automated production lines
The external remote control connector as well as the jitter and MD GO/NO-GO judgment result output connectors makes the unit compatible with automation of production lines.

Main Applications
Hardware manufacturers
Design of optics systems of players and recorders, adjustment and inspection of optical units during production, adjustment and inspection during player or recorder assembly.
Disc manufacturers
R&D of materials, inspection during production, quality control.
