The Model 5002 is an intelligent bench-top 1.3GHz universal counter-timer. The unit combines Global's renowned frequency counter experience with the latest microprocessor technology to bring outstanding value and performance.

Key Features
The Model 5002 features a frequency range of 5Hz to 1.3 GHz, and measurement functions including frequency, time interval, period, ratio, pulse width and event counting. Unique to the 5002, the unit becomes portable by removing the AC line cord and inserting either Alkaline or Nicad batteries. There is a built in trickle charge circuit for use with Nicads, via the selector switch. The unit has gate times of 0.1, 1, and 10 seconds and uses a high resolution reciprocal measurement technique giving 7 significant digits of accuracy. The LCD read-out displays the measurement values and operating modes. Trigger level control and a low pass filter are provided standard along with both internal and external timebase input capabilities. The external timebase input contains a unique automatic detector and change-over whenever a signal is present.

Applications
The Model 5002 makes an excellent addition to any electronic laboratory. The wide frequency range makes it suitable for audio testing or cellular telephone and CATV repair work. The multiple measurement functions expand its application into R&D and educational areas.
