Tools for U.S. 2008 Economic Stimulus Act

The 2008 Economic Stimulus Act included two tax incentives to stimulate the U.S. economy by helping businesses purchase capital equipment. These are significant and temporary enhancements to depreciation regulations that should entice you to purchase new equipment and software in 2008.

Here are two tools to help explain the incentives. The first is an overview flyer that shows the savings on two example purchases. The second is an Excel calculator that shows the tax savings on a specific purchase: you input the product name, price and amortization period.
