The D200 is a simple, low-cost approach to testing 10BASE-T, T568 or USOC telecom cables. It’s easy to use and can fit easily in your pocket or tool kit. Bicolor leds monitor all four pairs and indicate whether they are wired correctly, reversed, open or shorted. The two-piece design allows users to test cables either before or after installation.

Both the master and remote module contain two RJ45 modular connectors. One is for T568 and 10BASE-T cables and the other is for USOC telecom cables. Be sure to use the same connector type at both ends of the cable that you are testing.

Simply plug one end of your cable into the master unit and plug the other end into the remote unit. The “system connected” lamp in the remote unit will light when both ends of the cable have been plugged in. The master unit will display the status of your cable as follows: A green led means that a pair is wired correctly, A red led means that a pair has been reversed, and No lamp means the pair is open, shorted or unconnected
