- 1000:1 BNC Oscilloscope output allows quick connections and easy evaluation of output waveforms.
- Reverse polarity waveforms available by pushing a button on the front panel. No need to change the test setup. Positive polarity indication minimizes errors.

The tests required in TIA/EIA-IS-968 include Telephone Line Surge, Type A and B, and Power Line Surge as described in Paragraph 68.302. Compliance West USA has surge equipment that will generate the waveform required for each of these tests. Purchase of all five MegaPulses, and the Isolation Module required to conduct the Power Line Surge Test may cost less than purchasing just the plug-in set for competitive solutions. For check-testing or other reasons, companies may find the economics of purchasing our MegaPulse line compelling.
The MegaPulse 968 Series is designed to test Terminal Equipment and Protective Circuitry in accordance with Paragraph 68.302. Output voltages are tailored to the specification. An optional BNC oscilloscope output is available on all models.
Designed to generate the surge test described in FCC Part 68 Clause 68.302B Telephone Line Surge - Type A - (1) Metallic, Note (b)(2). Peak voltage is 1500 volts minimum, peak short circuit current is 200A minimum. A switch is provided for reversal of output polarity. Optional divider network available for oscilloscope connection. The waveform generated is 10x160/10x160, Vp=1500V. To test, the front panel voltage meter is set to 1500V.
The MegaPulse Telephone Longitudinal Type A, b2 ships with cables, graphs of theoretical and actual waveforms, and a Calibration Certificate. One year warranty. Options include relay outputs for PLC control, and a 1000:1 oscilloscope BNC jack.
