The switch can be attached to any part of the fixture desired, or be an operator-controlled pedal or paddle switch using a momentary contact. In this case, the test will stop as soon as the pedal or paddle is released. The switch can also be configured to a gate or test enclosure door, so testing will not commence until all safety devices are in place.
The signal required for operation is simple resistance, so any number of closures can be assembled in series and connected to the hipot tester. All switches will need to be closed before testing will commence.
Input is a two-position terminal block on the rear panel.
