The VH - Voltage Hold option for Defib-5 is used in conjunction with the Production Option FCD and keeps the capacitor bank charged to 5000V until the operator is ready for the pulse to be delivered.

When the Defib-5 is upgraded to the High Repeatability Production Option FCD, the bulk capacitor is charged to 5000V and is immediately fired. If the output is inhibited by interlock or other means, the bulk capacitor voltage decays, so there is no assurance of the voltage after the wait. The Voltage Hold Option adds a solid state power supply to the Defib-5, which keeps the output at 5000V until the pulse is required.

Ideal for lab environments where high repeatability and immediate pulses are required, or for production lines when 12 seconds is not enough time between tests.
