Description:

Normal Hipot tester operation requires the operator to press the RESET button to return the tester to a ready state, then press the TEST button after the next product test is set up. This sequencing results in safer operation in our opinion.

In some instances, most commonly when the hipot tester is controlled by computer or PLC, it may be advantageous to skip this double button press between tests.

At the end of the test, if the results are a "PASS", then the RESET button is automatically activated. To start a new test, only the TEST button needs to be pressed. For high-volume production lines, this can result in significant time savings.

Please note:

  • If the test results in a Failure, the test stops, red lights illuminate and the buzzer sounds until the RESET button is pressed. This is the identical failure operation as with the normal tester without this option.
  • The Auto Reset on Pass option cannot be defeated to allow normal operation using the Reset switch.
