The Defib-5 is designed to test defibrillation-proof circuits of medical products as required by the IEC. It generates the waveform required by IEC 60601-1, Amendment 2, Clause 17h. In accordance with that Standard, the Defib-5 can generate the required waveform with up to 5,000 volts peak. A front-panel switch reverses the output polarity. Additionally provided with a BNC oscilloscope output, used to connect the oscilloscope to the measurement points in your circuitry.
There is no base station or supporting hardware needed to perform the defibrillation tests with the Compliance West USA Defib-5. If you are a manufacturer or designer of medical products, you may not need the capabilities of the larger base-station/plug-in Impulse Generators. These products are ideal for companies who need many different types of surges, but Compliance West USA feels that many companies just don't need that kind of depth, and may entertain a less expensive solution. Perform a cost comparison for your Surge Testing needs - you may find that our solutions cost less than just the plug-in offered by others. MegaPulse Defib-5 ships with cables, graphs of theoretical and actual waveforms, and a Calibration Certificate. One-year warranty. Options include computer control/reporting or relay outputs for PLC control.
