Compliance West Hi-Pot Custom Configurations
Below are examples of common configurations that are available. Prices listed are typical; actual pricing may vary based on model, combinations of options, etc. If you don't see what you are looking for, give us a call; we can build or modify equipment to meet your exact specifications.
Auto-Reset on Pass:
At the end of the test, if the results are a "PASS", then the RESET button is automatically activated. To start a new test, only the TEST button needs to be pressed. For high-volume production lines, this can result in significant time savings. If the test results in a Failure, the buzzer sounds until the RESET button is pressed.

Leakage Current Display with Hold on Failure:
The "leakage" current that is being sourced during the dielectric test is displayed on a separate 3-1/2 digit LED display. If there is a test Failure, the leakage current that was displayed at the time of failure is held on the display until the RESET button is pressed.

Low Leakage Current Trip Option:
HT Testers can be configured so the excess leakage current trip point can be set as low as 10uA.

Relay-Isolated Interface:
TEST and RESET are controlled by providing a signal to a connector on the rear-panel of the HT-Series tester. The signal can be 24 Vdc, 12 Vdc, 5 Vdc, or a contact closure (customer to specify). Six additional relay contacts are available to signal test events such as Ground OK, Ground OPEN, Full Voltage, Excess Leakage, Hipot Pass, Hipot Fail, or Combined Fail (customer to specify). The rear panel connector can be DB-9, DB-15, terminal block, or many other styles (customer to specify). This option is especially useful when running the HT-Series tester in a system using a PLC.

Line Continuity Verification:
At the start of the test sequence, a resistance check is made between Line and Neutral of the Equipment Under Test (EUT). An open circuit would indicate that the power switch of the EUT is OFF, or that the EUT is not properly connected. Customer to specify PASS/FAIL resistance threshold. This is especially useful in production lines where the EUT is secured in a test fixture.

Line Current Measurement:
At the end of a Passing test sequence, a voltage is applied to the Equipment Under Test (EUT) from Line to Neutral. The current draw of the EUT is displayed on the front panel meter of the HT-Series tester. An isolated analog voltage signal (proportional to the current draw of the EUT) is available on a rear-panel connector.

Line Resistance Measurement:
At the end of a Passing test sequence, the resistance of the EUT from Line to Neutral is measured. The meter on the HT-series displays the tolerance of the measured value (percentage above or below nominal) to an accuracy of 0.5%. Pressing a button on the HT-series tester causes the front-panel meter to display actual resistance (customer to specify tolerance and range). Separate LED indicators on the front panel of the HT-Series tester indicate when the measured value is above or below customer-specified values. This option is useful when testing products with resistive elements, such as heaters, ovens, or soldering irons.
