B+K Precision Model 898A is a stand alone, portable device that tests a wide variety of Single-In-Line Memory Modules (SIMM) and Dual-In-Line Memory Modules. It tests many DRAM/SDRAM modules.

B+K Precision Model 898A was generally designed as a field tool for computer integrators, dealers, small manufacturing companies, service professionals, and qualified computer end users. It is portable and simple to operate because it is built on the bases of high level electronic technology. User interface is very simple and intuitive: a dual line Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and large buttons allow easy operation though a multi-level menu system. The 898A uses a high-speed FPGA to execute as many as six different types of memory tests.
