Description
The LDT2000 is an electronic switch located between the input AC line and load, designed to test various types of electronic equipment for short voltage interruption immunity. The unit can be used to design and develop power supplies, control and alarm systems, communication devices, UPS systems and computers. It is also suitable for measuring power supply hold-up time.
The unit uses micro-controller technology and generates periodic or single interruptions on the mains voltage. The drop-out time adjustment range is from 0 to 25 periods of AC input voltage, in 0.1 period steps. It accepts input voltages of 115VAC at 60 and 400Hz and 230VAC at 50Hz, with automatic set-up at turn-on.
The interruptions are synchronized with zero-crossing and can be set with the phase-delay adjustment push-buttons in 3 degree steps from 0 to 180 electrical degrees. Crystal controlled for accuracy, the desired phase delay and drop-out time are indicated by 3-digit LEDs. The unit has two isolated signals, one which allows for synchronization to a scope, the other for monitoring output voltage.
